Comments: The swim was challenging and fun, it was crowded but I guess they all are. What would you do differently?: Pick a different line to round the bouy so not to get caught up in traffic ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Flashback to my 1st ever tri @ T1. I had decided to wear my mtb jersey for 2 reasons, carry me some sportbeans and prevent rash from my camel back. I started to pull on my jersey and the bottom of it rolled up and got stuck, I lost 1 min fumbling with this. After that I got out pretty good. What would you do differently?: I would not wear a bike jersey ![]() Bike
Comments: Well it was a race and I posted my best full course time. There were some very good bikers out, some passed me like I was sitting still, yet I passed some the same way. Still working on the biking. What would you do differently?: Don't know, I think I would try to chase everyone who passed me for as long as possible to make some time. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: My trail runners dont slip on as easy as my running shoes. I made up a bike spot due to a guy leaving his shoes on his pedals and realized the rocks hurt his feet.Kept my camel back on but dropped my sports beans. What would you do differently?: Get my shoes on faster ![]() Run
Comments: The 1st mile I paced behind a 45-49er moving along pretty good. The first good steep downhill I passed him and another guy. After that my legs settled in and I paced to what my race potential is. When someone would pass, I would try to keep up with them for as long as possible but that was hard! Didnt feel the sprint for except the last 1/8th What would you do differently?: I just need to keep running. I feel it is becoming my dominant of the three ![]() Post race
Warm down: Gatorade, looked for food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Im happy with my time. My goal was 2:25. But as always I can look back and say,"I could have saved a minute here, and 30 seconds there" Event comments: The post race food was pathetic. I asked if there were food anywhere else and the lady said I could go buy food from the resturant. No thanks. Otherwise it was a great 1st Xterra for me. I hope to do more, Last updated: 2010-06-22 12:00 AM

Got up 5:30 had some cereal and banana, started hydrating with a bottle of heed. Rocked some Tool on the way to the WWC to get pumped.
Jogged everywhere I needed to go before the race to get warmed up. Did some stretching, a couple laps in the holding pond.
