Pre-race routine:

Midday start so slurping porridge from a flask in the car from 0900. Worked ok. Had a flat which was changed at the race.

Bit more prep is all. I was really badly prepped for the whole race - this was no different. I think the time wasn't too bad

Warm down:

Bit of stretching and walking, then a spin out the road to pick up the car

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Feeling drained and deflated after Causeway impacted training. That and the fact that it's July. Routine was a bit shot.

Event comments:

I felt bad after the event but looking at the results I'm encourage by my times. I know I can perform better with more training. First season I shouldn't be too upset.
