What would you do differently?: move back in start, stay on outside, free style during open water Transition 1
Comments: place 336, sat down to put on shoes and socks, shirt was difficult to get on What would you do differently?: swim, bike, run in the same clothing (just add a belt with number instead of shirt with bib), neighbors bike pedal got stuck in my spoke (took 30 sec to undo) - need to "own" more room next time Bike
Comments: during the turn around, I went into grass What would you do differently?: slow down and stay out of grass, get into "zone" sooner, get a road bike, not fat tire bike Transition 2
Comments: rank 303, biked and ran in same shoes What would you do differently?: nothing, great transition, dropped bike, took off helmet, took off running Run
Comments: strong finish to run, started with run 4 walk 2, ended at run 5 walk 1.5 pace. ended with a strong finish, i was haulin' it the last 1/8 mile What would you do differently?: keep on running no matter what! this was a good run considering the entire event, i have never practiced this distance, i have never practiced run 5 mins walk 1.5 mins Post race
Warm down: stand in front of cooler fans and drank bottle of water, ate pizza slice and 2 oreo cookies, sprite 126/160 women; over all females average 1:38:00 What limited your ability to perform faster: stomach ache during end of run, wet socks Event comments: Great water stations, plenty of volunteers, very few vendors. Drinks were limited and I was only allowed 1 water (not any bottled sports drinks). Great race for beginners. Last updated: 2010-06-24 12:00 AM
