Swim
Comments: perfectly timed my walked up from back to inside edge of start line; duck-dive x 4 until water too deep; also duck-dive x 3 as people walked out of water (passed 4 people) What would you do differently?: nothing; it went well Transition 1
Comments: it felt well paced; not slow but not rushed either What would you do differently?: bring a bucket to wash off feet; many little rocks Bike
Comments: need to do SOMETHING on the 2 days leading up to the event; travel from Spokane screwed up routine earlier in the week so legs were VERY fatigued; i was the slowest bike of Sarah, Lisa & Dave; Hammer Gel at mile 8 What would you do differently?: do SOMETHING on the 2 days leadin gup to the event; push a little harder on the bike; consider 2 hammer gels Transition 2
Comments: groin was VERY tight getting off bike so took the extra time to stretch while tying my shoes What would you do differently?: Stretch my legs during the last 1/4 mile of the bike to be more ready for the run Run
Comments: took 1/4 cup of water out & back; just right amount; blisters started @ mile 2 What would you do differently?: use NuSkin to put on bandaids so they don't come off during the swim Post race
Warm down: walked around while using cold, wet towels; drank 1 bottle h2o; stretched What limited your ability to perform faster: travel & lack of quality sleep Wed PM; no workout on Thurs or Fri Event comments: GREAT, organized race! Sean does a great job with all his races; i like the pulled pork & beer after! Nice work! Last updated: 2010-06-25 12:00 AM
