Post race
Warm down:

Water, walked around, ate fruit buffet.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The heat mostly, traffic, slower competitors.

Event comments:

Mandatory day before check in was a mess. Too many registrants not enough volunteers/staff that day. Venue was insufficient for that many people! No signage for directions where to go. Road blocks everywhere and no one to ask where to go. No maps or information provided. Very frustrated day before the race. Race day was much better.

Course: Course sucked!!!! It was so shallow and narrow I could not even swim or find a hole to dive into. Wasted at least a minute in elbow soup. Finally broke away and swam inside the bouy areas and then scalloped around each one.

Actually was 18.5 miles. Felt great on bike, was thinking I would be in under an hour, but got stuck behind some old fart in a car that blocked several of us girls for several miles. UGH!
Wind: Little
Course: Well laid out, great volunteer coverage, some side roads had bad potholes and rough patches. One very steep hill, riders were walking bikes up side by side and totally blocking the road. slowed me down again.
