I am just too fat for my wetsuit - bought in on ebay six years ago, you get what you pay for. Tough to get off and get moving.

New wet suit that fits for my next tri

What would you do differently?:

Kick up the pace, had more in the tank then I thought I had.
Post race
Warm down:

Relaxed and had a beer at Bobby V's - unconventional drinking that early

What limited your ability to perform faster:

All in my head, its been two years since my last tri - just need to do a better job in pacing and pushing myself more.

Event comments:

This is a great race for an even greater cause. Not as hectic as New York and nice to see some of the people that this race benefits at the event. Post race is tremendous setting, plenty of water, food etc.

Course: Long Island Sound - low tide with rocks, somewhat of a challenge. Did experience some cuts, nothing to keep me from going. Course is triangle, well marked with plenty of guards and safety personnel in kayaks. Only problem in planning around the tides would have been a later start which would mean more of a humid and hot run and downtown traffic. Tough call but nothing that ruined the race.

Course: Nice run around the water, roads are a bit patchy so you need to keep your eyes open. Hill profile was nice, challenging enough but not something that adversely impacted my performance. I should have done better on the bike - need to better appreciate the course.

Course: Flat loop that is done 2X. Good to see the bikes coming in. Kinda tough watching the elite runners blow past on the second lap, but does keep you connected to the overall race. Lots of people to cheer you in at the end.
