Run
Comments: Not an easy run. Started out WAY too fast - ooo eeee. Then died in the middle. Wanted to throw up around 2 1/2 miles. Then a friend who was running behind me the whole time got a second wind and passed me a little - I could feel his energy and so I tried to keep up. Thank god the finish line is after a little downhill so I could really sprint to the finish - but that downhill was the only reason I felt that way What would you do differently?: Plan better nutritionally, and learn how to warm up effectively. A routine to follow would have been nice. Post race
Warm down: Walking. Event comments: I was way happy with my results. My goal was 24:30. Last year's same race results were 27:16 (8:48 pace).. I am glad I was able to push it - I don't like how it felt, but am happy with what it feels like now. Last updated: 2010-06-29 12:00 AM

None really. This happened immediately following work. I tried to get some carbs in at lunch. Went straight from a meeting out to the start line.
Jogs, skips, runs, walks alternating. Some looseners before all that.
