Swim
Comments: the first 100 meters were good then we got backed up the rest of the time and it was too crowded to pass. What would you do differently?: I would have reported a bit faster swim time and got placed up a bit. I started at place 175 with a reported time of 6:00. I ended up slowered beacuse of about 4 of us getting backed up. I think I could have done about 5:45 and should have reported such. Transition 1
Comments: First race with bike shoes, and it took a bit of tiem to get them on and then running to the line was abit akward. Bike

Comments: shoes are velcro and coem off easily, Run
Comments: breathing hard the whole time HR at 160-165. Only passed by 1 person. What would you do differently?: my feet were wet and I got a blister on my left big toe. Post race
Warm down: walked around a bit, tried to stop sweeting. did a bit of stretching. drank a lot and ate quite a bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: not eating before the race. Not enough traning before the race. Event comments: good race, the swim was suprisingly organized and went off better than I could have guessed.But every swim is mahem in a tri. Got up at 4:50 am, ate a piece of bannana bread, got ready to go. Arrived at about 6:15 am forgot my breakfast bar in the car so I went without. Checked in set upo my gear and waited at the pool.
did some stretching, and chatted with my wife who also did the race.
