Swim
Comments: There was a small moment of panic at the start of the swim. Thankfully, I was able to overcome it and settle into my pace! What would you do differently?: I need to figure out my stroke and figure out how to get faster!! Transition 1
Comments: I really thought I was faster than this! There was a pretty long run from the swim in to my bike rack, but I still thought it was better than this!! What would you do differently?: Not sure, I did take time to put on my gloves...but I don't think I would change that! Bike
Comments: Good bike. I was able to get to my goal speed pretty quickly, but I wasn't able to maintain as well as I would have liked. A few rolling hills and a cross wind didn't help, but I'm ok with my time given the bike issues I've had recently! What would you do differently?: TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN!!! Since, I completely changed the bike set up a week ago, I needed more time to get used to it. I need to logs lots of bike miles!! Transition 2
Comments: Again, I thought I was faster than I was!! I did stop and take a drink, but overall I'm still ok with my transition times! What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: I felt great on the run! I really think I should have pushed it harder. What would you do differently?: Run harder!! Post race
Warm down: Walked to bring the heart rate down, then a mile walk back to the car! What limited your ability to perform faster: Training...I still have a lot of work to do! Event comments: Today's weather was perfect for a race!!! For my first triathlon, I'm very proud of my performance. My I would like to finish by time was 2hours 45 mins, my secret goal was 2 hours 30 min, and my I rock time was 2 hours 15 mins...so I'm very very happy with where I finished. Plus, I now have a time to beat!!! I'm still mad at the dude that came in after me...If I had to be that close to last, I wanted to be the DFLer!!! Last updated: 2010-06-30 12:00 AM

Got up at 2:30 this morning to head down to the race. Only had 4.5 hours of sleep, so I was exhausted! Did a good job of having everything packed the night before, so there were no issues getting ready to go!
Got to transition just as it opened, so I was able to get the spot I wanted on the rack! Got chipped, marked and setup pretty quickly! Thankfully, there was no pre-race stress!
Had about a mile walk from the car to transition. After setting up, I did a slow jog then got in the water and swam a little.
