Comments:

A 'C' race for me- Caroline and I decided to run it the day before. The goal was to try and hold an approximate 8:45-9:00/mile pace for as long as possible. The weather was hot and sunny, and the field was 100+. Started out too fast, second mile was on target, third mile I slowed down as I couldn't maintain the early pace.
What would you do differently?:

Need to hold back on start- I had a pace goal, and I blew through it. Still- the 8:10 was my fastest 1 mile split to date (which is keeping my rating from poor), but not keeping to my race plan is not good.
Post race
Warm down:

Waited for Caroline (third in her AG)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor execution of plan.

Event comments:

Course was rail trail (flat, dirt and gravel). Race ranslightly behind schedule. Pretty informal, but a good race. One water station at 1/2 point.
