Run
Comments: started off very crowded on the course, thinned out by mile 2. kept a good pace until the hills started around mile 3-4. picked it back up around mile 5 when i realized i was on pace for a sub-hour finish. started my finishing sprint early because i thought the finish line was closer than it really was, but managed to hang on to the faster pace until i crossed. time was a PB for me by about 30 seconds. Yeah! What would you do differently?: get there earlier so that I am not starting in the back of my corral. this caused me to have to run around alot of slower people. the interval training i've been doing really helped me to run faster. but i also think i could have shaved probably another 20-30 seconds off my time. i need to push myself harder and trust that i can hold it. Post race
Warm down: herded through the t-shirt line and hit all the food tables. Thanks Publix! What limited your ability to perform faster: heat and hills, but it's still a PB for me so I'm real happy! Event comments: It's the Peachtree, what more can you say. Love the crowds, the bands and the atmosphere. Last updated: 2010-07-07 12:00 AM
