Pre-race routine:

normal morning, minus the early wake up. Got to the race, bike pump not working, bike shop not at the site... luckily I found a friend with a functional pump, but didn't give me a whole lot of warm-up time
Event warmup:

Maybe 200m swim, but I did get some speed walking in looking for a pump and retrieving my sunglasses from the truck after I set up my transition...

Got stuck behind 2 slower swimmers, 1 for a lap and a half cause he didn't let me pass at the wall was almost breast stroking behind him!! I was 10th in the water, so I was not expecting to have to pass anyone.

I was at the end of the rack and the person next to me did not leave room for me to rack my bike so I had to move hers over, so that took a bit.
What would you do differently?:

not get angry about bike placement, just fix it.

still need to work on speed. I would really love to get through a run segment feeling good about it. Time wasn't bad for me, but I feel I can do better.

Warm down:

Walking a bit probably not enouth

What limited your ability to perform faster:

ear popping on the bike and not popping back was pretty annoying! but not much I can do about that one, except slow down.

Event comments:

The only thing that could improve this race is a longer swim :0) but I don't know if any good lake swims around. It was fun watching the kids race after!
