Swim
Comments: In my opinion, thsi was at least 300 yards more than what it was last year. I cramped up about half way through for the first time ever. I found out its pretty difficult to swim with your legs dangling there. What would you do differently?: Not cramp up and work on sighting. These 2 things killed me and affected my mind the rest of the race :-( Transition 1
Comments: Was still feeling affects of the cramp during the swim while trying to get into my pedals and just didn't feel good. Bike
Comments: Tried to make up time on the bike but I could just feel that knot in my calf waiting to act up. I did pretty much what my goal was @ 56 minutes. The construction part was rough on the bike. What would you do differently?: Push a little harder Transition 2
Comments: Couldn't have done it much faster. Only problem was I had to lift the bar to get my bike under. Not sure how that happened. Run
Comments: I love running but was not looking forward to it here with the calf issue. Trotted along for about 1/4 mile until I felt decent and then took off. Sprinted the last 1/4 mile to make up for my trotting Post race
Warm down: Stretched ALOT! Drank fluids and just enjoyed the atmosphere What limited your ability to perform faster: The swim and that cramp during it just really killed my spirit for a little bit. Event comments: The fact that no one involved with the race realized the swim was much longer than .5 miles really got to me. It was right last year and the athlete guide even showed a picture of last year's course. Being off by a 1/3 of the race distance is not acceptable in my mind. I know evweryone has to swim the same course, but I prepared for an 880 yd swim, not a 1200 yd swim. Last updated: 2010-07-08 12:00 AM

Had a wedding the night before so not much sleep. Got there around 6:15, set up transition and hydrated.
