What would you do differently?: I think it went quite well. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Couldn't get my socks on! I know a lot of people race without socks for the bike. I think I need to start doing this. I wasted a lot of time drying my feet and trying to put my socks on. What would you do differently?: Not wear socks for the bike ![]() Bike
Comments: The bike went good. The hills were really hard and gettign started after the swim took a couple minutes because my legs felt funny. What would you do differently?: Try to push harder after the hills ![]() Transition 2
Comments: I forgot to take my helmet off. Luckily my husband was in the transition area and saved me a lot of embarassment... haha What would you do differently?: Take off my helmet before being reminded and having to backtrack a couple feet. ![]() Run
Comments: I did horrible! I felt nauseous the whole time and kept stopping because I thought I was going to throw up. It was the worse run of my life and the area I'm going to concentrate on the most in the next month before my next tri. What would you do differently?: Prepare better, not drink so much, run until I throw up, instead of stopping and waiting to throw up. I probably would have been 4-8 minutes faster if I hadn't stopped. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Sat on my behind for a couple minutes, then walked around and stretched. This was followed by a Gatorade, chicken burger and fries. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training for the run. Event comments: This was an excellent feel good race. It was a very small event so it was personal and there was plenty of space during the swim. It was nice not to get kicked in the face for my first tri. Last updated: 2010-07-10 12:00 AM
