Comments: Good swim. Was really fatigued because I had been sick for two weeks with very little swimming involved. Glad to get it done. Transition 1
Comments: I didn't double check my cycling shoes before the race because I got distracted. When I got to T1, my right shoe's ratcheting was stuck. I had to sit down to eventually force it open and get my shoe on. Next time, will double check. What would you do differently?: Check my gear despite circumstances. Bike
Comments: Was a good bike- still fatigued from the lack of training in the weeks leading up due to cold/cough. What would you do differently?: Ride faster :) Transition 2

Comments: Bad, bad run. I rolled my ankle really hard on a rock on the first uphill. Not happy. Then my breathing was out of control because of hills and again, being sick for two weeks. What would you do differently?: Train, not be sick. Also not roll my ankle. Post race
Warm down: Stretched. Iced ankle. What limited your ability to perform faster: Ankle issue. Being sick for two weeks prior to race. Event comments: I got 2nd in my AG overall!! With this performance, I was understandably shocked. I guess it's really all about who shows up that day. Will hopefully do better in the future as next year, I will be at a wedding. Got to the race early, set up, got marked. Put out my stuff, got on wetsuit and headed to the lake for a little warm up. Parents called while I was setting up because they were lost.
Did a brief swim to warm up. Was a great way to get my body ready for the day, esp. since I had been sick recently.
