Pre-race routine:

Got to the race late, as I slept through my alarm! Rushed around, but had enough time to get setup.

Jesus I suck at swimming. Maybe I'll get better at it at some point, but I have some issues.
What would you do differently?:

Rented a jet ski.

Had problems clipping in because my legs were tired and jello-y.
What would you do differently?:

Get some real triathlon biking shoes so I can run and jump and all that fancy stuff.

I didn't really find a decent rhythm until late in the course. I passed a LOT more people than I was passed by, but just didn't feel that strong. I'm not looking forward to seeing what my avg speed was.
What would you do differently?:

Dose with EPO, and maybe train a bit more? I laid off the bike for the last two weeks and concentrated on run/swim.

People were stopping like 10 yards in front of the dismount line. Not sure why they were doing that. Ride it to the line!

Run people over so I can dismount at the line.

I tried to start slow and let my legs warmup, and that seemed to work well for me. I'm not a fast runner, but I ran the whole time and that was my primary goal out of this triathlon. Pretty pleased with the run, although my calves are pretty grumpy today.

Instead of drinking a lot, I just took a sip of water and then dumped the water on my core, and then another cup on my head.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing really. Pleased with run performance.

Warm down:

Drank a lot, then thanked everyone who supported me then got the hell out of dodge.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of training

Pros:
Organizer went over everything about the course before the swim and made sure everyone knew what to expect.
Made accommodations for my late arrival.

Cons:
Still waiting on results...
No post-race activities...
No post-race awards...
No signage for run turnaround...
