Swim
Comments: pretty good swim for me...tailwind out headwind back...got clocked in the head and kicked a few times..didn't really bug me. What would you do differently?: go a bit harder and sight a tad more. This was my fastest non wetsuit swim to date. Transition 1
Comments: dropped my helmet, could have been faster to get my shoes on, but for me, not a bad transition What would you do differently?: practice of course, not drop my lid Bike
Comments: the garmin was NOT on multisport, so I goofed with it for the first mile and was slow rolling while doing so. I also got stuck behind a slow rider into transition, and it's so narrow, there was no passing him. Those 2 things slowed me down. Other than that, a pretty solid ride for me. Happy with it. What would you do differently?: Probably go out in the elite wave. I had a 5 minute time cushion to not be dq'd, and I wouldn't have to deal with the transition issue or passing so many folks on the bike. Transition 2
Comments: Missed my rack, then I did ok...till my race belt got stuck in my visor when I was putting it on...OY! What would you do differently?: Not miss my rack and not get the race belt twangled up in my lid! LOL! Run
Comments: goal was to push the run...no wimping. Goal met. It was pretty hot out and I was working hard this whole run. The time isn't my best, but I know by my rpe that I was working hard, and hitting some fast (for me anyhow) paces on the second half. I'm happy that I pushed it, and hope I can get to where that isn't the goal, but the norm when I race. What would you do differently?: Just gotta keep doing the work to become a better runner! Post race
Warm down: stretched a bit, drank water, socialized with my crazy wonderful supportive wonky friends and teammates! What limited your ability to perform faster: garmin issues, heat. Event comments: Racing with my friends is always a great time! Having so many friends cheer me on (Ranger, Trixie, Smoak, Gdog, Super Coop, Steve, Mr.Potter, Rottie, Two Hearted and Kristen) was AWESOME! Really, it makes a race to be surrounded by friends and teammates! :) Last updated: 2010-07-13 12:00 AM

weird cause it was at night and I'm staying at the lake this week. Met up with folks from the team and Ranger (broken collar bone Ranger) and set up transition.
Swam about 300meters or so to warm up, went potty and chatted up friends before the race start. Trixie was with me till just about start time.
