![]() Swim
Comments: Swim was pretty relaxing actually, except for the first 50-100m where there was a bit of kicking and bumping. After that I just followed some feet/bubbles and tried to stay relaxed and focused on my stoke. What would you do differently?: Nothing ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Make sure to put the helmet the right way in transition, so it's just a grab and put on. I tried to put it on backwards, since I set it up backwards in transition. Glad I figured that out quickly :). What would you do differently?: Better helmet position in transition. ![]() Bike
Comments: Very happy with how I controlled my effort. Wanted to make sure I have something left for the hilly run. Drank every 5km and had a gel at about 20km mark. The last 10k I went back and forth with a guy I caught, ended up letting him go as I wasn't interested in a race to T2. Still ended up in transition at the same time as him. What would you do differently?: Nothing ![]() Transition 2
Comments: The guy racked beside me came back before me, left me very little room to rack my bike, no big deal, but I could have done better there. Took a nice big gulp of gatorade in transition before heading out, it was a good move. What would you do differently?: Nothing ![]() Run
Comments: In the first 300m I started to feel my right hamstring begin to cramp, I thought I may be in trouble, but it loosened up and I was able to keep a good stride throughout the run. What would you do differently?: Nothing ![]() Post race
Warm down: Sit around, drink some water, jump in the lake to cool off. What limited your ability to perform faster: Fitness, I think I performed up to my potential on the day. Event comments: I like this venue, fun race. Last updated: 2010-07-14 12:00 AM
