Pre-race routine:

Arrived early to find parking. Went from Davis to Porter to meet with Bicycle Team members prior to their Sunday morning SPIN class. Had a Bagel with Hummus from Brugger's and a med iced coffee.
Walked back to Davis and hung out around my truck until 10 to meet friend for race.
Event warmup:

It was so cold that I found it very hard to stay warm prior to the start.

Comments:

Very cold to start and ran the first mile a little fast (6:48). Again, conqured the hills much better than I expected, but had an issue with my tights. Didn't tie them before the race and spent WAY TOO MUCH time pulling up my pants. Kind of funny, I imagine. Will look for those pictures.
What would you do differently?:

Tie pants, maybe do a short run to warm up.
Post race
Warm down:

had bottle of water and Sugar Free Red Bull (God bless Red Bull) then walked to cool down for about 1/2 mile to car. Changed shirts to something more dry and warm.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Cold.

Event comments:

As always, Paulie and the SAC have put in a stellar race. The only thing that wasn't great was the weather and they had no control over that. Thanks for another fun run and I can't wait for the summer series around the Charles River!
