Started too fast and my legs tightend up. Half way through my hamstrings tighted up, which slow me down, especially up the last hill.

Start slower.

Legs were tightening up and cramping. I had to stop 3 times in the first mile to stretch them out, as I didn't want to pull anything. After the 1st mile, or so, I felt better and was able to pick up my pace. I could have used some water between the transition and mile 2.
What would you do differently?:

Unsure.

Warm down:

Spent lots of time stretching my legs and some easy jogging.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Cramping in the legs, bringing down my HR in the later part of the bike.

Enjoyed the events - lots of volunteers.
