Swim
Comments: Again, I think I coulda went faster but I just dont like swimming in this pool. Once I got in the groove, it got better but w/e. At the end, I was catching water. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: Transition went good. It was first time putting on shoes, so that was good that I got in them pretty easy. I dont have a time for it tho. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Maybe I pushed it too hard but damn I felt good flying past everyone. It was cool drafting the guy in front of me during the second lap on the windy part and then taking off past him haha. What would you do differently?: Maybe take it a little easier... but I probably wont. Transition 2
Comments: Again a good transition. The bike rack was just a normal bike rack, not a tri bike rack so it was kinda weird putting in there. I thought it was gonna fall so that was a second or two trying to get it to stay. But everything else went good. What would you do differently?: Nothing. They need to set up a better rack next time. Run
Comments: Holy shit... the wind is what got me here. The first straight away was pure, 25-30 mph winds. I tried to turn on the speed but I just couldnt. All the time I made up in the bike portion was lost here. Transition killed me too. So I definitly need to work on transition training. Here I come brick workouts! What would you do differently?: Work on more brick workouts! Post race
Warm down: Just walked around. What limited your ability to perform faster: Weather conditions, pool, and lack of transition training. Event comments: Good race! Its free so I wasn't expecting any special flair or anything... its just a race for the people on base and in the military. It was small but overall it was a lot of fun. Will definitely be doing it next year. Last updated: 2010-07-18 12:00 AM

Woke up, went through my stuff one more time, had breakfast of Clif bar, fruit smoothie, coffee, and water, loaded up, drove to base, set up tranistion area, and warmed up.
Swam about 400 yds
