Swim
Comments: This was the worse swim I have had in a race EVER! Not sure why. It was pretty dang choppy, but I don't know what the issue was. I was staying right on course (rope line attched to buoy's). I never had to pick my head up to spot (yes to breath though :)!).... What would you do differently?: Not too sure what adjustments to make. I would say over the years my swimming has remained the most consitant. Transition 1
Comments: This was fine.... 2nd fastest T1 in AG (Funny part was that this was faster than T2....) What would you do differently?: Nada Bike
Comments: This was a solid effort for me. Please with the bike today. Pushed hard, and still maintained some left in the legs for the run (although pace wise it doesn't show!) What would you do differently?: Nada, Felt pretty good about the effort today! Transition 2
Comments: I can blame Ryan for not putting the speed laces on my shoes, so I had to TIE my shoe laces.... the difference between 4,5, and 6th place (me) was less than a minute.... DANGIT!! ;)!!!!! What would you do differently?: Speed laces the day before instead of driving to the race site!! Run
Comments: It is what is! I knew that this was not going to be my strong point of the day. Leaving to hit the run course I stopped to kiss the wife's belly and carry on my way. Got a few ewww's and ahhh's from the ground only to find out later that Ryan turned to Kim after that and say "Honey who was that guy!?" I pushed to the best of my ability today and knew that a 50 minute 10k was out of reach due to the hernia acting up again. I can't and won't complain about this. However I would have like to have been sub 50 in my own mind. It just really sucks watching people pass you in your AG on the run, knowing you can't keep on there feet. What would you do differently?: I am pleased today. Gas felt good, legs felt good, nutrition was "ok" but all in all I expected this. Post race
Warm down: Sat in the lake then watched the 1/2 Iron finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: Hernia Event comments: This is a great race, great area, and fun event! Last updated: 2010-07-19 12:00 AM

Um.... I missed this part. Just watched the half iron go off, and chat it up with friends. I think the only warmup I did was pee in my wetsuit and make sure my goggles weren't leaking!
