I rode hard on the bike so I knew I would suffer on the hilly run course. I did my best to manage my losses and sprinted past two racers at the finish who had only just passed me.
What would you do differently?:

Keep my weight under control. I weighed 189 the morning of the event. I was at 175 for my first race in May this year.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

body weight and knee pain leading up to the race which forced a 10 day layoff from any running
