Just set up transition. This was a fun race with a group of about 8 guys I know/met.

Comments:

Waves of about 20-30 went off at a time. It was all fine other than the long straight section on the back side. It seemed to all of the sudden shoot out- not a straight line at all. I had a good swim-beat everyone in my wave and think I had the 5th best swim time on the course that day. Did not feel like I was pushing it either.

Ended up deciding to try and have my shoes clipped in and then mess with puting them on while riding. Helped my transition time, but not good for my biking. I ended up needing to stop about 1/4 mile down the road and unclip my shoes and get them on the old fashioned way. NOTHING NEW ON RACE DAY YOU IDIOT!

I did not think I was running that fast. I did not take split times on the course so really did not know how fast I was going, but I did not feel I was pushing it too hard-considering I was sub 7 min pace.

Warm down:

We had a cooler full of beer in transition. I prodeded to down as many as I could until about 10 that night when I fell asleep.

Great Race, well ran, well supported, and a good lunch at the end.

Course: Had a tailwind on the way out and a little headwind on the return. Much more hilly than I thought it would be. Good course, only a couple times when short, long, and traffic merged did I need to really slow and adjust my ride.
