Pre-race routine:

Up at 4:10 AM (a little later than I hoped). Showered and ate a peanut butter sandwich and had some milk. Met parents at 5 AM in Jersey and left from there. Ate a banana on the way and then a Lara Bar around 7 AM. Did Race Day Packet Pick Up which was worth the $10 although it felt weird to not already have my number, etc.

I had a fair amount of contact during the swim and then had trouble getting around people.

Practice more!! I need to improve my swim significantly.

Need to get more confident with starting with shoes on bike. Basically just need to figure out how to rubberband them.

Never felt like I got into a comfortable pace (perhaps because there were a fair amount of turns?), but was able to stay aero most of the race.

Practice running more with bike. It was a long run and I could have been a little faster. I also felt like I lolly gagged a little when putting my shoes on.

Warm down:

Went through the misting tent...HEAVEN!! I wish every race had this.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Definitely swimming. I need to make some improvements. I signed up for a class starting in two weeks so hopefully that helps. Also, the heat didn't help.

Event comments:

Well-organized race that I'd definitely recommend to others.
