Swim
Comments: I still didn't swim the whole time or feel very comfortable in the water. Mainly because there were actual waves. The Green Bay has much more choppy seas than any other lake I swam in. So that was a bit interesting. What would you do differently?: I tried to keep up w/ some guy and draft him, but he ended up being too fast. I suppose I would just relax and take it easier. Especially if I am to do .9 mile in 2 weeks!!! Transition 1
Comments: I'm pretty decent at the 1st transition. What would you do differently?: Nada Bike
Comments: Reason I went hard is that my buddy did the tri w/ me and he's simply better than me. So I managed to come out of the swim and get out of T1 before him and I wanted to keep the lead until he passed me on the run. However, he caught up to me on the bike and we finished that together, but he blasted me on the run. Boo. What would you do differently?: Race my race. Usually that isn't a problem because we're not in the same wave... Transition 2
Comments: Fine What would you do differently?: Nada Run
Comments: Run stunk. I felt like I had to crap and I was wore out from my bike. That sucked. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to do more short bikes to build up leg strength so that I can hammer the bike and do well on the run. Event comments: This race had free beer and BBQ pork sandwiches afterwards!!! I'm down with that!!! Last updated: 2006-02-02 12:00 AM
