Pre-race routine:

Had my usual chicken and brown rice for dinner, 1/2 bagel and almond butter for breakfast. Got there early and got a good parking place and an end place in the rack.

Was able to get in the water before my swim wave went off so I felt really good starting the swim.

Comments:

My feet were cold, wet, and numb! Just tried to take little steps after I got off the bike. Decided not to put socks on to run in because my feet were so wet I thought it would take a lot more time to put socks on. Ended up with a blister on one foot.
What would you do differently?:

Will probably take the time to put socks on.

Course: Double loop course through Federal Way. Many volunteers on course but a couple places where they could have used someone. I was glad I had ridden the course before. Rainy and kind of slick on race day. Quite a few cars on the hiway part of the course.
