Pre-race routine:

As usual, I couldn't sleep the night before the race. Up at 6am. Race was 15 min from house! Banana and english muffin with peanut butter.
Event warmup:

Took a light 5 min jog, did a quick swim in the lake.

Comments:

The water was dark and murky. Bottom slimy and gross. I didn't want to think about what I was standing in. I got kicked in the mouth towards the end and that slowed me down a little. After a disappointing swim at last tri, I was happy to not panic and keep my breathing under control
What would you do differently?:

Keep away from guys with a strong kick! Do some speed work in the pool.

This transition was much easier than the last tri. The swim was easier as well so I was able to run through transition, which made me happy.

Work on mounting quicker.
