A really fast transition - I stood by with my bike while I waited for my wife to come out of the pool and "tag" me.

Pushed the ride to make up some time. Wasn't bad considering that there was some pretty serious climbing the first half and lots of traffic throughout. I thought the time was decent considering that most of my riding this year has been at about 4-8 mph on a loaded down patrol bike.

My team runner bailed so I took the run segment also. My legs were cramping, but stopping to stretch helped out. Big hill climb in the middle.

Warm down:

Did some stretching and then went to play in the Cops vs. Firefighters basketball game.

Event comments:

A very challenging sprint distance event.

The same organizers also put on "Dawn to Dusk" (12 hr. Mountain Bike Race) the "Squash Blossom Classic" (a weekend with assorted road races, different levels of mountain bike races, an Off-Road Half Marathon, and Off-Road 5k). Most of their events are very well organized and fun.
