Swim
Comments: Started off feeling sluggish. Decided to relax and just build it. Picking off the guys in the waves before mine the last 1/2. The river was nasty. They put the port-o-lets near the swim start...I think that was to disguise the water smell...not so nice What would you do differently?: train Transition 1
Comments: Took it a little easy here. Never done this distance and not sure how hard to push this early Bike
Comments: Took off feeling ok, looked down and my bike computer wasn't working. Stopped twice during the first mile...no luck. F'it....just rode with no clue what my pace was. Mileage was only marked in two places so I was really riding blind. Liked the course. There were some sections that were not great (needed paving), but overall a nice course. What would you do differently?: train Transition 2
Run
Comments: Grabbed my watch...not working - obviously not my day for electronics. Got the watch booted up and working just before the first water stop. Run felt ok. Kept a steady pace. Did not know what to expect with the lack of training..but I ran this whole thing only walking the water stops (can not run and drink - it's a coordination thing) This is the first race I have ever done where I felt the water stops were exactly where I needed them. awesome! What would you do differently?: train Post race
Warm down: Walked around, drank, sat in the shade and enjoyed the river view. What limited your ability to perform faster: training = 0 Event comments: Loved this race - my first Olympic. I would love to come back next year with training and rock this course. Last updated: 2010-07-31 12:00 AM

Showered, ate and drove to race site.
Introduced myself to my bike...we haven't spent any time together lately.
Don't have the training in, but I need to do this distance....it's my first Olympic.
Nothing...haven't trained so I didn't want to wear myself out
(sad, but true)
