Pre-race routine:

Only got 4 to 5 hours of sleep. Was coaching the USA Indoor National Team the night before in Baltimore.

I did not know the course, and I ran slower than I wanted. overall I was happy with this because I only slept 4 hours the night before, and it helped me get warmed up

I would have liked to know the course. I could have gone faster in this leg

I was very happy with this transition. I was used to coming out of the water, so this was easier transitioning from a run to the bike
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. It only took 36 seconds. I do not think I could go faster. Maybe I could wear my sun glasses during the run so I didn't have to put them on in transition

The first mile was slow. I did not know the course and thought I was going faster. After I hit the mile mark, I picked up the pace and passed at least four people by the time I was done.
Post race
Event comments:

I had never been to the park, and the race was not marked at all. Once you got into the park, there were no signs to tell you were to go. I drove around for 10 minutes trying to find the transition area. Then once we walked to the start, there was no one to direct you were to go. Several people walked down where the swim start was, and had to walk back to another location.
