Swim
Comments: Felt a little nervous but the mood of all the other contestants was so upbeat I calmed quickly. What would you do differently?: Keep practicing and take a shot at sarting in the middle of the group versus the back which is where I have been starting. Transition 1
Comments: Actually I felt pretty relaxed in the transition. Being that I had not felt very good I took my time. I also took time to clean out my sinuses with saline so I would not get sick. "IT WORKED" HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What would you do differently?: Speed up. Could have moved up 4 spots just based on transition times. Bike
Comments: I felt I did good on this segment. Coming in at 114 of 286. Cannot complain. I wanted to stay in big ring but was not able to. With more training and weight loss I will next time. What would you do differently?: Still need to reduce weight and practice (including hills) more. Transition 2
Comments: Good Transition Run
Comments: I am happy with sub 11 minute run. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Stretch and had plenty of fluid and watermellon. What limited your ability to perform faster: I had been sick for the previous 2 weeks and had only one workout. Had I been healthy and about 20 pouinds lighter I would have done very well. Event comments: This event was the best! The volunteers were the best I have ever encountered at an event. KUDOS to the organizers of this one. I will be back for sure. Last updated: 2010-08-01 12:00 AM

Ate 2 bagels and drang plenty of water. Arrived very early to set up (5:30AM). Set up early and went over trans routine. Stretched. Checked bike out. Walked around nervous.
No water warm up allowed.
