Comments: As soon as the wave started I got a huge mouth full of water and started choking. I never seemed to catch my breath. The whole swim was terrible. Only good thing was I wasn't dfl! What would you do differently?: Keep my mouth shut :) ![]() Transition 1
Comments: I wore tri-shorts and just put on my socks running shoes and t-shirt. I had the fastest transition time in my AG What would you do differently?: avoid the rocks! ouch! ![]() Bike
Comments: Due to running late and having a severe hang over I forgot my water bottle. Good thing I drank a good amount of the lake on my swim :/ What would you do differently?: Remember my water bottle, eat breakfast and get a good nights sleep. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: I rode with my running shoes on so all I had to do was dismount, take off my helmet and rack my bike. Once again I had the fastest transition time of the AG. What would you do differently?: This transition went fairly well. ![]() Run
Comments: Run was decent. My calf cramped up leaving the transition area. So I had to stretch briefly What would you do differently?: I did not drink any water throughout the whole race. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Lots of walking and gatorade. They had a food booth with lots of fruit and gatorade. What limited your ability to perform faster: ALCOHOL Event comments: This was my first race! The event ran smoothly and they had lots of information for first timers. They offered lots of free swag, dri-fit shirt, swim cap, coupons and tons of samples. The awards ceremony was quick and to the point. The top two in the AG got a printed letter in a frame and overall winners got the letter and a jacket. Everyone received a participation medal. I had a great time and plan on doing this race again next year. Last updated: 2010-08-08 12:00 AM
