Swim
Comments: For me this was a poor swim. I have not trained for swimming as I normally do in about 7 months. Additionally, I was constantly running over people. Some people really don't know how to seed themselves. I was going to be honest, and line up at the 6-7 minute swim speed before the race, but I kept looking at the competition and thinking, "There is no way that old guy could possibly be faster than me" So I kept moving forward. Good idea. of the 1594 I had the 33 fastest swim time, and I left quite a bit on the table. What would you do differently?: I should have lined up even further toward the front. I am one of the fast guys. I won't make that mistake in chicago. Transition 1
Comments: HUGE transition area. I was about as far away from the swim exit as anyone. I guess they put the studs toward the back to be close to the bike out as much as possible. What would you do differently?: Nothing, the whole thing was a blur of speed. Bike
Comments: People will complain about the slow cyclists, but tough luck, get better in the swim so you can be out in front. What would you do differently?: Nothing, I pushed all out the whole time Transition 2
Run
Comments: Felt fine off the bike. I passed a lot of the super cyclists. I guess that indicates I'm a pretty good runner off the bike. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I'll come back next year, better and faster. Post race
