Comments: Obviously not one of my better swims and struggled mentally but fought through and finished it. What would you do differently?: Be a bit mentally tougher. Wear a wetsuit. Transition 1
Comments: Not too bad but definitely wasted time thinking things through - definitely b/c I was late today and never really felt like I was organized - my fault! Also had to put on a race belt and decided to grab some shot blocks. What would you do differently?: Arrive earlier and mentally walk through it - like I typically do. Bike
Comments: The original MPH avg cannot be right - guessing the mileage is off - so I just put in 24 miles to be a more realistic avg speed...that may be a bit high too. A tough bike today with some hills and rough roads. The last climb seemed to never end and it was slow going. Definitely started to feel better mentally as the bike went on...tried to stay positive throughout the ride and give good effort. What would you do differently?: not much - maybe try and push a little harder on the climb but not sure how that would have impacted the run - probably a great deal. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty good transition here but still wasted time doing a double take to ensure I was good - decided to grab a gel which ended up being a good decision. What would you do differently?: Arrive earlier for prep time - Run
Comments: Not a terrible run considering I have not been consistent enough in my training despite my lip service about consistency and committment to the run. I definitely negative split the run but not exactly sure what the 2nd loop was done in. Felt pretty good on the 2nd loop but need to feel better than this for 13.1 What would you do differently?: TRAIN - bottom line is I have 7 weeks before AUGUSTA which means about 6 weeks of solid training and I need to push all in for these 6 weeks and hopefully improve down ther this year.
