Comments: I just kept to my slow pace that I have been running lately. My right shoe came untied. I thought it was just a little loose, but when I got to T1 the end of the Yanks had popped off. What would you do differently?: Not much different other than train more and make sure that my shoe laces are tied good. Transition 1
Comments: Last rack, so I had run a long way with the bike and in bike shoes. What would you do differently?: Get there earlier. Bike
Comments: I hate this course during this time of the year. The wind is always blowing hard along the river making it difficult to go against the head wind. What would you do differently?: Train more outside. Transition 2
Comments: I had to retie my shoes. They have popped out of some of the eyelets, so I had to rig them up to work. What would you do differently?: Make sure of equipment before race. Run
Comments: I started cramping on the run. My legs felt like Jello. What would you do differently?: More bricks. Post race
Warm down: Walked around. Drank some water. Ate a bananna, brownie, yogurt, and a burger. What limited your ability to perform faster: My training regimen, wind, and nutrition (specifically calorie intake). Event comments: I need to really train a lot better than I have been. Arrived later than I wanted to. Had to put the bike on the last rack.
Changed into my racing shorts and jogged down the trail for about 5 minutes.
