Drove out to Wichita Falls early that mornin for the ride.

Comments:

This was a ride, not a race. Caught up with Gerald and Amy on the tandem around mile 60 and rode with them for quite a while. Wasn't feeling as powerful as I'd hoped the second half of the ride; however, decided I was going to buckle down and really attack the last ten miles. So I dropped the hammer and crushed those last 10.
Post race
Warm down:

Got cleaned up at the shower van. (Even had towels and washcloths for us. Fantastic!) Dave and I wandered the expo for a few minutes, then headed home.

Event comments:

With 20 years of cycling, I finally can asy I've ridden Hotter 'N Hell. (Temps this year weren't that bad, actually.) The event was everything I'd expected - very large yet very well organized. Might be fun to come back and actually race it one year.
