Pre-race routine:

got up around 7, drank a little coffee and then we left for the Aquatic center.
Event warmup:

My heat wasn't supposed to start until a little after 11:00, so just set up transition and watched the other athletes.

It was pretty warm by now, and I don't run well in the heat. My legs were pretty sluggish, it might have been from the Golden Leaf the weekend before.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure how to speed up in the heat.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat, and being tired from 1/2 marathon the weekend before
