Run
Comments: hard to move through the pack. thought the field would thin out but never did. need to start in a different wave to limit the people in front. Good pace Jonny pushed me at the start where I always suck. love the hills, only 3 miles. the next 4 on the flats of surf drive. last hill starts 1/2 mile out. we started to push at the last mile. maybe too soon, had a great push up up the hill. I used the little steps method and leaned into the hill, felt great at the top. What would you do differently?: take more water at the early stops, end stops were crowded. Post race
Warm down: long walk back to food tents and family meeting area needed to stretch out my shoulders, they tightened up 10 -15 min after the end What limited your ability to perform faster: training, need to run more Event comments: Great run, fantastic scenery, well organized, highly recommended. I have wanted to do this race since high school but never made the effort. I have lived in Falmouth the last 15 years and always found a way to avoid the crowds. I am very happy I have done it and will definitely be there next year. Ran for the Penekese Island school so felt like i made a difference. Last updated: 2010-08-14 12:00 AM
