Run
Comments: I started out behind the 5hr group (my goal being to finish w/i 6hrs) and ended up running the majority of it with them. The leaders were extremely supportive and friendly, we had alot of fun. Split up from the group when I had to take a bathroom break at mile 20. Hit the wall at mile 23 on an uphill area. A policeman blocking the road offered support and helped me to keep running. Was offered "cold beer" w/ less than a mile to go. The city of Austin was unbelievable with the amount of support they provided, I can't wait to run another marathon there. What would you do differently?: I wouldn't have arrived at the starting point so early. Post race
Event comments: This was the best running experience! The volunteers and spectators where amazing and I hope everyone gets the opportunity to run a marathon in Ausitn. Last updated: 2006-02-07 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:30am, left at 5am. Arrived early. Sat in the car while it rained. Jogged 20mins before and stretched out. Talked with family.
