Swim
Comments: I had a great swim given this is my longest distance. I freestyled the entire way and was up in the wave 2 before me on exit. Where this really sucked was the run to T1. It was over 400 yds barefoot on torn up ashphalt. That is what killed my time. I should have been under 2m/100yds if that hadnt been the same. What would you do differently?: Make sure I leave shoes by water exit. Transition 1
Comments: T1 was fine but crowded. Not alot of elbow room. Took off wetsuit outside T1 on the run, which prolonged that time. But was best way to do it. What would you do differently?: Nothing, it went well. Just get faster. Bike
Comments: Was my best leg. Was passing tons of people and was lucky to be in earlly wave so course was not crowded. Worst part was the headwind at a few points on the return leg was brutal. Overall wind was ok just in few key spots it really gusted up. What would you do differently?: Get into clipless and aero bars. I figure if I did top 40% ranking on roadie with block pedals and no aeros, I can improve a lot with those changes. Really enjoying the road bike and wished I had it earlier in the season, Transition 2
Comments: I walked thru T2 given the crowd. And then in the open had a huge downhill that I didnt want to risk getting into the run out so I walked it again. That cost me a few minutes but was worth avoiding the problems. Run
Comments: Per my usual my run sucked. Even worse than usual. I have a very hard time running on the grass given the uneven surface and the stress it puts on my legs and knees. What would you do differently?: I would take more rest time th few daysbefore the race. I was on my feet way too much Saturday and Friday. Post race
Warm down: Stretching, and walking to keep lose. What limited your ability to perform faster: The run, the run and the run. If I had kept my swim and bike pace on the run I would have been MOP instead of BOP. I plan to work entensively on RUN during the off season. Event comments: High entry cost. Bad goody bag. Run out from swim on bad terrain. Massive wait to get back into transition. Riding on LSD was fun. Overall not sure I'd do it again. Last updated: 2010-08-15 12:00 AM

Got up extremely early given the transition open time. So was up at 2:30. At normal JC breakfast, showered etc and headed out. Was staying at friends house in the city.
lots and lots of stretching
