Pre-race routine:

GOt up early at 4:20 AND ate a waffle, mix 1 shake, coffee, clif bar and off we went. My wife wss doing the back to back. THis was oly on Sat, sprint on Sunday. I was doing my first oly in over a year.
Event warmup:

FOund a good transition spot on end rack of the closest one to the bike in and out. Ran about a mile with Michele and went to the water to swim a bit.

I have not bike nearly enough. I felt very slow and was tired of people passing me. I had 6 guys pass me today. My bike was slow and it was not my best. About right where my training is. Passed Mike Ricci at the turn around. I am usually top 3-4 overall and I was not by even a close margin today. Something to work on.

I did a quick jog and cheered on my wife.

Training.

Pretty good race. Got a hat and a shirt and a water bottle. Won 2nd in the agegroup and got a beer mug. Good to see all the Bt'ers out there!

Course: Wierd Out and back, then jump out of the water, run around a cart, jump back in and finish a triangular swim. My swim was fine, good that it was a time trial start. A bit of bumping and then just settled in. My actual swim was around 27:50 and then the run up the beach.
