Pre-race routine:

Arrived way too early, parking was easy, nice 1/2 mile walk to start line area, so good warmup.
Event warmup:

Long walk to start line area.

Comments:

Was a great 1/2 marathon. I felt wonderful the entire race. Hillier course than I thought. I ran the Frederick Marathon, and that was hilly. But this was no slouch of a course. Some good hills here. But overall, a beautiful course with great spectator support. I did not "race" this, but ran it as a decent workout, not too fast. My last big run prior to IMFL (where I was glacially slow).
What would you do differently?:

Drink more. I had good nutrition (Hammer/Perpetuem), but didn't take in enough water. Calves were a bit tight at the end.
Post race
Warm down:

Nice walk/jog for 1/2 mile back to car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not much other than myself. No outside influences. Was a great crowd, great race. Never been in a race/festival so big.

Event comments:

My only issue with the race was the cattle-chute at the end to get out of the finish area and out of the fencing. That was handled poorly and the organizers should have more exit routes for next year.
