Comments: did not complete full course prior to race. started out not wanting to get kicked and bumped so was at the back of the pack. Felt uncomfortable in the water (breathing) throughout the full distance - never sure were I was placed in the water. Long run in the lake and tranistion section. very surprised to see I bettered my time from previous tri at location I was accustomed to. What would you do differently?: have full practice run. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: forgot race belt - glad no one made me go back ![]() Bike
Comments: I felt fine going into this section (my favorite part) due to race delays many athletes on the course and not sure who is in tri category so harder to "keep up with the pack" felt very comfortable on the bike and with my movement but not satisfied with ranking. did improve time from last tri race What would you do differently?: push harder and do full practice race to know how flat course was ![]() Transition 2
Comments: very quick - do not use clip ons ![]() Run
Comments: this is my weakness. Looked at watch after tranition and knew I had good time to equal last tri time - bad move. Mentally allowed myself to slow down. walked three times ( unacceptable). very hot and humid by this point. Again so many participants did not know who I was chasing. ended up beating my last tri time What would you do differently?: NO WALKING!!! ![]() Post race
Warm down: no time - children racing next What limited your ability to perform faster: mental focus and knowing my competitors allow myself to push to the extreme Event comments: rain delay caused some confusion and congestion. Awards presentation very disorganized due to rain delay. Some race results not awarded until after KOS completed. Last updated: 2010-08-18 12:00 AM

up at 6:30 for bagel with P-B and milk to wash it down, double check equipment (forgot cell phone) ha ha and get my partner (son) up to get going - 45 min drive to race. Feeling ok but not pumped
20 minutes before race start, blasted with rain, thunder an lightening causing a 1 1/2 hr delay for all races. Once race back on, categories were quickly started with not alot of warning to participants so no warm up except streching
