Run
Comments: Planned to start in wave three but couldn't get up to the right wave so I hung back. I spent the first 3 miles passing people and trying not to get stuck behind packs. Settled into a pretty steady pace at mile three and hit pretty even splits for each mile thereafter. Took in two gels during the race and water at the aid stations. What would you do differently?: More run training to go sub 2 hours. This race was a PR and I was pleased with the results. Post race
Warm down: I grabbed some water and a space blanket and roamed over to the course and watched for friends and cheered. Hung out for almost and hour then went back to the meeting place before we headed to the hotel to shower and go home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training ... needed more running. Event comments: This race could stand to have more defined corrals or waves. You signed up for waves at registration but I still found myself passing lots of people and being passed by faster people for the first 5 miles. Last updated: 2010-08-19 12:00 AM

Bagel with a little peanut butter and a banana then nursed a sports drink on our way to the race.
Little jogging to get the HR up but then stood around waiting for the start. Not sure if the warm up realy was worth it.
