Swim
Comments: As I swam I was pulling up seaweed with my stride. What would you do differently?: I would start out more in the front, I was like in the third row of swimmers in the water and during the start it was just chaos. Once I got around a few people and stopped swimming over them, then I was fine. Transition 1
Comments: The transition was a run through some wet thick grass up a small hill to the mount line with your bike. Placed: 106/409 What would you do differently?: Possibly attach shoes to wheels and just hook in while riding and not use socks. Would shave a few seconds off the time. Bike
Comments: I did average I thought on the ride. I rode the course a few days prior and went faster about 0.2 mph faster but that was without a swim beforehand. What would you do differently?: I would practice swim/bike bricks more. Also do some more climbing and up the bike speed. Only been riding for 3 months now so have a lot more potential to get faster I feel. Transition 2
Comments: Went pretty good. The transition was down a wet grassy hill from the dismount line so you had to run your bike through it. It wasn't very flat. Placed: 178/409 What would you do differently?: Try to dismount out of shoes before getting off bike. Possibly do a running dismount. Run
Comments: I paced myself pretty well. I worked really hard the last two weeks doing running after faltering badly last time. This run was my fastest 2 mile run so far and I did not have to stop once and felt really strong. I had no cramping problems. What would you do differently?: Push harder toward the end. I felt real strong and probably could have gone faster. Post race
Warm down: Got a glass of water and a hoagie and then watched everyone else finish. I was in the first wave so there were many still on the course. What limited your ability to perform faster: Limited training. Only been training for 3 months. I think I need to run more which is my weakness and also put more time in the saddle. Event comments: The race was very well organized and excellently run and staffed. I would definitely look to do another piranha race in the future. Last updated: 2010-08-21 12:00 AM

Had a bagel for breakfast, drove to site. Very dark out at 530am. Couldn't see anything. Reminder to bring a flashlight next time lol. Was pitch dark till 630-645.
No warmup, just setup and waited around. The transition was set up in high uncut wet grass. Ended up with grass all over bike and belongings by the end.
