I would not use the energy gel on the bike again, I would have it in T1 and use an energy drink on the bike instead

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training - hardly any bike and almost no running

Event comments:

Barcelona is a fantastic place to race. With some additional planning by the organisers, this will eventually be a great race. The finish time clock was set to all zero's which made the finish a bit of an anticlimax. There was only one water station on the run which was a challenge. Overall I had a great time and will book it again next year. Hopefully Garmin will bring along a spare clock in case it fails again :-)
