Swim
Comments: Best swim ever. New PR. What would you do differently?: Absolutely nothing. Transition 1
Comments: Average Transition. Nothing spectacular What would you do differently?: Need to put more effort into transitions. Consuming calories and hydrating at T1 really paid off. Had 10ounces of diluted gatorade + 1 chick o stick before getting on bike. Bike
Comments: Very good time for the challenging course (no drafting). What would you do differently?: Nothing. Best bike leg ever. Transition 2
Comments: Overall good, but slow. What would you do differently?: get quick laces for shoes. Need to organize my T2 area supplies better and get my ass to move faster through it instead of taking my time. Run
Comments: good run. very hot and humid. What would you do differently?: Ensure I have my salt pills. Perhaps not to push as hard on the bike to save the legs more for the run. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing. did the best I could with what I had. Event comments: Race organization and support was good. Volunteers and staff members did an excellent job in supporting all athletes and it was clear athletes' wellbeing and safety was a priority. The police monitoring the bike course did an outstanding job. Plenty of hydration stations and supplies during the run, but none during the bike (easy fix for next one). The medal KICKED ASS! One of the best for my collection, rivaling even those of some IM. I consider the Trialo de Dorado the best triathlon value event on the island, by far and I'm already looking forward to next year's event. PS. Good call on limiting the registrations. As it was, the transition area couldn't handle any more athletes. For next year - keep transition area open only to athletes. Too many spectators were in the transition area compromising safety and security of belongings and participants. Last updated: 2010-08-24 12:00 AM
