Comments: ran the full distance - which was my goal... I only stopped briefly at the drink station to pour some water on my head and took a sip... then ran again... tried to push hard at the end, I hardly had anything left What would you do differently?: not a thing :) ![]() Post race
Warm down: rode my bike an additional 20+ miles then came home What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of running training, lose weight Event comments: This is a low-key track club race - just about everyone gets a ribbon... it's a fun race $5 entry fee, can't beat it!!! rode my bike to the race... got there WAY too early, but I had time to change into my running shoes/shorts and chat with folks before the race
I was hoping my cycling was a good warm-up, but I was fairly cooled-down by the race start, so I'd say no warm-up
