Swim
What would you do differently?: not freaking out! I did the swim doing breast stroke - because my freestyle technique is simply non-existent and I just want to let people know - its fine - you can do the tri with a breast stroke and you won't be that slow either. I had a sleeveless wetsuit - which worked fine with the breast stroke. Transition 1
Comments: had trouble finding my bike, all the markings were moved and it was really packed. Bike
Comments: biking is my strength and I absolutely loved this leg of the tri. could go really fast, had plenty of space for overtaking. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Run
Comments: my legs were tired out after swimming and running, so my pace was awfully slow. What would you do differently?: more brick training Post race
Warm down: rehydrating and waiting in the shade for the re-opening of the transition area to claim the bike. What limited your ability to perform faster: I was very tired in the end - so I think I need more brick training: cycling-running. Event comments: this tri was my first and I'll be back next year - fantastic experience. Last updated: 2010-08-29 12:00 AM
